Lon Chaney personality type is ISTP, and he is a very quiet and reserved man.
I love Lon Chaney as an actor and I love the way he portrays his characters, although I’m not a fan of silent films, I do like to watch them now and again. I’d like to talk more about his acting ability and the way he portrayed his various roles, but it would take up too much of this post, so I’m not going to go into detail about his acting career. I’d also like to mention that although I have a collection of Lon Chaney films and I have watched them all many times, I have never seen any of the films he was in before he started acting for Universal Studios. I don’t think the films that he made before Universal Studios are very well-known outside of the horror genre, and those that are out there may only be familiar with his later films.
Lon Chaney’s legacy is still alive today, and despite his death in 1930, many of his movies are still being released every year, and more are being remade on a regular basis.
Leonidas Frank "Lon" Chaney (April 1, 1883 – August 26, 1930) was an American stage and film actor, make-up artist, director and screenwriter. He is regarded as one of the most versatile and powerful actors of early cinema, renowned for his characterizations of tortured, often grotesque and afflicted characters, and his groundbreaking artistry with makeup. Chaney was known for his starring roles in such silent horror films as The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923) and The Phantom of the Opera (1925). His ability to transform himself using makeup techniques he developed earned him the nickname "The Man of a Thousand Faces".
