JW: Did you know what you wanted to do when you started out?
EG: When I was a kid, I always wanted to be a scientist. I always thought about the stars and the planets and how they formed and how they work and what they were made of and how life started, and so I always wanted to be a scientist and a teacher and a writer. And I tried to figure out what that meant, and I realized that if you want to do that sort of thing, you have to get into art school, because there’s no other way to get into that kind of stuff. So I did get into art school, and then I got into computers.
