For the most part, Jung’s type theory has stood the test of time. The one exception is the idea that you can be either “extraverted” or “introverted” (there is also a third option, “extravert/introvert”, but it is considered to be entirely separate to the other two). Jung believed that he had taken the extravert/introvert dichotomy too far, and decided to take it out of his model.
Also, for the sake of simplicity, I have only used the letters INFP to describe Jung’s personality type. You can use any letters that you prefer, although I would encourage you to use the same letters that I have used.
INFP Characteristics
INFPs are often seen as dreamers, sometimes to the point of being labeled “idealistic” or “visionary”. These are both accurate descriptions of this personality type, but should not be taken too literally. INFPs are often creative and often have vivid imaginations.
