Eylin moved to the state of Alaska after graduating from high school. She said she was looking for a challenge and a way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
She said she loves the wide open spaces and the outdoor activities such as hiking and hunting. She especially likes the possibility of seeing moose and bears.
Eylin is looking forward to getting to know people who may be in need of help and she is especially interested in meeting people who like to hike and hunt.
Eylin said she is proud to be a recipient of the Alaska Native Heritage Center Scholarship and wants to continue to help others by giving back to the community that has given her so much.
