Roberto Zenóbio Affonso de Carvalho (Rio de Janeiro, November 16, 1952) is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist and composer. He was dazzled by the musical rhythm of Bossa Nova, but that did not stop him from being enchanted by the rock style of the Rolling Stones and The Beatles. Participated in one of the final formations of the band Tutti Frutti. Although most of his compositions are partnered with Rita Lee, Roberto has worked with names such as Ney Matogrosso, Jorge Mautner, Arnaldo Antunes and Arnaldo Jabor, among others. In addition, in 1992, he recorded a solo CD. Roberto, behind the scenes and on stage, gave important sound support to singer Rita Lee, whom he met while playing in Ney Matogrosso's band. An intense musical partnership began with Rita in the lyrics, Roberto in the songs. Living together with singer Rita Lee since 1976 (the two married on December 13, 1996, in civil), Roberto maintains a very successful musical partnership with the singer.
