Either way, I would say that people are not really looking at the overall quality of the overall experience, but more so on how they perceive the moment. And if the moment was good, then it means that they were satisfied overall. If not, then they weren't.
One of my friends referred to it as 'the 100% or 0%' theory of happiness. That is, how much of that moment was good. If you are not satisfied in certain areas, then you cannot be happy 100%. It's a matter of degrees.
For instance, I was in a really good mood when I posted this thread. And I was in a bad mood when I wrote this post. So it's not really the moment itself that makes me happy, but more so how I perceive it.
As for the thread, you could say it has a lot of good moments, but I think the overall happiness could have been improved if the comment(s) about the movie being boring were removed.
