Most of the time, I feel very appreciated. I feel very loved by my family. But then there are times when I don't feel that way.
I was singled out by my mother to be the one who would take care of my brother. And every time she would tell me that, I'd get really mad because I wanted to go to college, and I wanted to go to a good school, and I wanted to make something of myself, and I wanted to get out of Walnut Grove because it was really boring, and the only reason I stayed was because I didn't have anywhere else to go.
It wasn't until later on in life that I realized that the only reason I was staying in Walnut Grove, because my mother wanted me to stay, was because she wanted me to take care of my brother.
I think that this is something that's true for a lot of people. We're all worried about our parents' needs, and we're worried about our own needs, and we're worried about other people's needs.
