Kate Chopin personality type is ISFP, and I am a decently good introvert. I read and write and think, and am convinced that my brain is just not wired for extroversion. I'm not really sure how to express this, but I just feel like I don't fit in very well with most people. I get anxious when I know that I am going to be around people, and I feel like I am shut down and unable to be myself around them.
Here's the thing: while I absolutely love writing and thinking and reading and do not see myself as a social butterfly like most people, I also really like the connections I make with people. I like to talk and joke and laugh and feel like I can relax around people.
While my introversion does not hinder my ability to make meaningful connections with others, it does make it extremely difficult for me to do so. I often feel like I am letting everyone down when they expect me to be "bubbly," and then I feel like I am letting everyone down when they expect me to be "attentive."
I do not want to seem "difficult" or needy or "unreasonable."
