What is the personality type of Thomas Chatterton? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Thomas Chatterton from Writers Literature Classic and what is the personality traits.
Thomas Chatterton personality type is INFP, not INFJ.
That's right, they are INFPs, not INFJs, which is why they have a different personality type. In my opinion, they are quite similar in my experience. I know it is a controversial topic, but I find them quite similar in their strengths and weaknesses. I will explain why I think this way later.
To understand the difference between these two personality types, we first need to understand the INFJ and INFp relationship. You can read more about that here: INFJ and INFp Relationship (Part 1 and Part 2).
The INFJ and INFp Relationship (Part 1)
The INFJ and INFp relationship is very strong for both parties. Unlike the INTP and INFP relationship, one does not get to make all of the decisions. This can get frustrating for the INFJ (INFp), who is used to working things out by themselves and having the last say in everything. The INFp feels like they are being taken advantage of. They can also feel like they are not being heard, and that INFj just doesn't care about them at all. This leads to a great deal of conflict.
Thomas Chatterton was an English poet whose precocious talents ended in suicide at age 17. He was an influence on Romantic artists of the period such as Shelley, Keats, Wordsworth and Coleridge. Although fatherless and raised in poverty, he was an exceptionally studious child, publishing mature work by the age of 11.
