Pierre Duhem personality type is INFJ, or the “Counselor.” I’m a counselor, so I’m going to share some of my experience as a Counselor with you. This is not meant to be a definitive list of traits of Counselors, but rather a subjective view of how I experience the INFJ personality type.
As I’ve written about before, the Counselor type is one of the more misunderstood types. I often hear people say that Counselors are pushy, or demand too much of people. But what these people don’t understand is that we are trying to help! We want to help people improve, and we want to make them happier. Yes, Counselors push people toward growth, but we do it in a way that is not forceful or demanding. It’s something that we know people are capable of and want to do, so we help them get there.
I’ve seen many different types of Counselors in my time as a counselor. I’ve seen Counselors who are so good at reading people that they know how to speak to a person in just the right way to encourage growth.
