    Laurent Alexandre, born 10 June 1960 in Paris, a senior civil servant and doctor by training, is a French entrepreneur, columnist, writer and political activist.

    He became known as the co-founder of the Doctissimo website in 1999, then through his statements in the 2010's on the development of artificial intelligence, the regression of death, genetics and transhumanism. Often presented as a futurologist, he regularly intervenes in the media during the 2010's: he is notably a columnist in Le Monde and L'Express. He is also particularly followed on Twitter and YouTube.

    In addition, since 2009 he has owned and chaired DNAVision, a Belgian DNA sequencing company, and has shares in some fifteen companies in Europe, mainly in NBIC technologies.
