Stephen Barrett personality type is INTJ, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality type is INTJ.
I wrote about this frequently as a clinical person, and as such, I've come to see that it's not that different from the constant bombardment of information that people who are not "normal" (who take the MBTI or other personality tests) face all the time.
For instance, I'm a very organized person. That's how I've always been and, as such, I take a lot of pride in it — whether I'm writing a document for work or organizing my closet or my desk. And yet, when I take a personal inventory of what makes me tick, I realise that I can't possibly be as organized as I think I am.
Here's an example: I've just written a post here that has taken me hours to write. And I'm totally lost for words, even though it's something that I've done many times before.
The problem is, I take a lot of pride in being organized and organizing others and myself and so on.
