I spend my free time with my friends. I enjoy watching movies and reading books. I play badminton, volleyball, tennis and swimming.
What do you do when you are not working?
I have a private practice as a physiotherapist and a trainer. I also have a physio clinic at the Turkish Sports Club. I spend a lot of my time there. I am a member of the medical team at the main stadium of the Turkish Football Federation, and I will be a member of the medical team at Istanbul Ataturk Airport as well.

I spend my free time at the club as a physiotherapist and a trainer. I participate in sports events as a trainer as well as a physiotherapist.
Uğur Şahin (born 1965) is a Turkish physician, oncologist and entrepreneur. His main fields of research are cancer research and immunology. He has been Professor of Experimental Oncology at the III Medical Clinic of the University of Mainz since 2006, and chairman of the board and CEO of BioNTech SE since 2008, a company that he co-founded with his with wife, Özlem Türeci. Şahin is considered one of the leading COVID-19 vaccine developers. He and his spouse are among the hundred wealthiest people in Germany. As of 2020, Forbes estimated his net worth at $5 billion USD.
