William Donald "Bill" Hamilton born August 1, 1936 in Cairo and died March 7, 2000 in Middlesex Hospital in London, is a British evolutionary biologist. He contributed mainly to the theory of kin selection. He received the Darwin Medal in 1988, the Linnaean Medal in 1989 and the Crafoord Prize in 1993.
