Dead Inside personality type is INFP, and its a shame that it's been so long since I've been able to post an INFP thread.
I'll start off with a question. What distinguishes an INFP from an INTP?
I'm asking because I've been reading up on both of the types, and I'm genuinely curious to know how they differ. Of course, I already know - but I'd like to know what makes the two types different.
INTPs and INFPs are not different in any profound way. They're just different sides of the same coin. They both have the same basic functions: Introverted Thinking, Extroverted Intuition, and Extroverted Sensing.
Introverted Thinking (Ti) is the dominant function for INTPs, and Introverted Feeling (Fi) is the dominant function for INFPs. The functions are the same for each type, which means that along with having the same functions, both types have similar values, preferences, and actions.
They also both have some striking differences. The first thing is that INTPs tend to be more "abstract," while INFPs tend to be more "concrete.
