Kappa personality type is ENTP, or the “The Mastermind.” ENTPs are often described as “unpredictable,” “charming,” “polymaths,” and “creative”—attributes that are largely absent from the description of ISTPs. But, as the ISTP personality type is the most common personality type among psychologists, I wanted to give the ISTP personality a chance to speak for itself. I did this because, while there are some things that are true of all “masterminds,” there are many things that aren’t (since, as we all know, everyone has their own unique way of being who they are).

ISTPs have a strong drive to experience their world through their five senses and to explore to their full potential. They are curious and often seem disinterested in social conventions and rules. They tend to focus on the present moment and on their immediate surroundings, regardless of whether these things are pleasant or unpleasant. Although they can be blunt and unemotional, they are also good at sensing and expressing emotion.
