Big personality type is ISFJ, but I don't think that's the same as the one described here.
I think ISFJ is more of a "I feel sorry for myself in a very nuanced, often self-deprecating way" personality type. I don't think it's a "moody" or "sad" personality type.
I don't know what would make an ISTP or ISTJ feel sorry for themselves. They don't seem to be the emotional types as most people consider them to be.
I am an ISFJ, and I can understand why people would think that I'm moody because I'm definitely not. I just don't feel like talking about myself, so the best way to explain it is by saying that I'm not very outgoing, and I have a hard time trying to fit in with people. However, I don't think that I'm depressed at all. I'm usually pretty happy with my life and I enjoy being with friends and family a lot.
I think it's possible that you're describing the ISTJ personality type. In my experience, ISTJs are very quiet, but they are (usually) very nice and friendly.
