He's a realist about race, as an institution, not as individuals. And he's a realist about the point of view of his audience, not as individuals. He's a realist about his audience being made up of a wide variety of people, not as individuals.
When a person is a realist about facts, that's a different thing than being a realist about people. When your ENFP is a realist about facts, that doesn't mean he's a "realist" about people. It means he knows how to look at facts and how to interpret them.
A rational mind is also a realist.
