    MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE INDICATOR (MBTI)

    MBTI is a personality test, created by Isabel Myers and her daughter, Katherine Briggs, in the 1940’s. It is used to determine whether an individual has one of 16 personality types, which are based on Jungian psychology.

    The MBTI test measures four preferences:

    Extraversion (E) – people who are more outgoing, talkative, and like socializing (and like to be the center of attention)

    Introversion (I) – people who are more quiet, reserved, and like to be alone (and like to be the center of attention)

    Sensing (S) – people who are more perceptive and aware of their surroundings than others (and like to be alone)

    Thinker (T) – people who are more introspective, analytical, and objective than others (and who like to be alone)

    Margaret Ellen "Peggy" Noonan (born September 7, 1950) is a Pulitzer Prize-winning American author, weekly columnist for The Wall Street Journal, and contributor to NBC News and ABC News. She was a primary speechwriter and Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan from 1984 to 1986. Five of Noonan's books have been New York Times bestsellers.
