David J. Stewart personality type is ISFP, mostly because I can relate to that description.
(ISFP) Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving is the profile most commonly used by most MBTI practitioners.
I think this is a great starting point, but it also opens up so many more possibilities. For instance, I'm not entirely sure how to categorize my personality. I've never known what my "type" was. Sometimes I'm more strongly an ISFP or an INFP, sometimes I'm more strongly an ISTP or an ESTP. When I look at personality type descriptions, I notice that they're very vague on some of the details. On the surface, I guess, they're accurate enough, but I'd like to know more about myself, and I think that one of the ways to do that is to look at all the possibilities.
I also think it's worthwhile to consider whether someone's personality type might change over time. For example, I don't think my ISFP profile would change very much if I started working full-time for eight hours a day, but I've worked part-time or freelance in the past and I think that influenced my personality more than I realized at the time.
