Linda Porter was the wife of musician Cole Porter. She was a socialite. She was born on Nov. 17th 1883, and died on May 20th 1954. She was born Linda Lee in Louisville, Kentucky. She was first married to Edward R. Thomas, and they divorced in 1912. She then met Cole Porter in Paris in 1918 and they got married in 1919. She was then known as Mrs. Cole Porter, and they attended and organized many parties. She gave a lot of money to different charities, including war effort during the first World War. She encouraged Cole to pursue music.
