Charles Henry Lee (6 February 1732 – 2 October 1782) served as a general of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. During his years in the Continental Army and after he commanded a disastrous retreat, Lee grew more hateful towards Washington. This caused him to engage in his famous duel against Lt. Colonel John Laurens.
