What is the personality type of Atahualpa? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Atahualpa from Historical Figures 1500s and what is the personality traits.
Atahualpa personality type is INTJ,” says Kelly. “This is the only true definitive answer, because the other variants are too speculative.”
Kelly’s conjecture that Atahualpa was an INTJ matches the personality type of the Inca emperor, who is thought to have died in 1533.
“I’m in no way suggesting Atahualpa’s personality was based on the Inca emperor,” he says. “My point is that Atahualpa’s personality is very much in line with the current findings in personality type.”
Kelly says it’s important to consider the Inca emperor’s personality when considering possible explanations for the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire.
“If Atahualpa was an INTJ, then it is likely that he might have had the intelligence and coping skills to be able to withstand the Spanish invasion,” Kelly says. “This is consistent with the personality of the Inca emperor, who may well have been an INTJ.”
Atahualpa (also Atabalica, Atahuallpa, Atabalipa (in Hispanicized spellings) or Atawallpa (Quechua) (c. 1502–26 July 1533) was the last Inca Emperor. After defeating his brother, Atahualpa became very briefly the last Sapa Inca (sovereign emperor) of the Inca Empire (Tawantinsuyu) before the Spanish conquest ended his reign.
