    ENTP (3w4)

Edward Kelley personality type is ENTP, the intellectual-intuitive. He’s a dreamer, with a constant inner vision of what might—or should—be. In 1646, this is not a good thing. He takes the money from the king and disappears, leaving behind a letter promising to return if the king can arrange for him to be pardoned. But he never does, and the money he stole from the king is never recovered.

I think that Kelley has a high level of introverted intuition, that he’s a daydreamer. We often say that someone is a dreamer, but is that a bad thing? There’s a tremendous difference between being a daydreamer and being a fantasist.

Kelley also has extraverted intuition, or sensing. He’s daydreaming in the real world, but he’s also picturing events in his imagination. He’s an imaginative person who can see what should be.

You might wonder how it is that an ENTP could turn into a real-life version of his fictional persona.

Sir Edward Kelley (1 August 1555 – 1597/8) was an English Renaissance occultist and self-declared spirit medium. His flamboyant biography, his relationships with Queen Elizabeth I's royal magus Sir John Dee and the Emperor Rudolf II, and his claims of great alchemical skill and the ability to communicate with angels have all led to his relative notoriety among historians. This has made him (along with the German Faustus and Sir John Dee himself) one source for the folklorical image of the alchemist-medium-charlatan.
