Cassandra Savage personality type is INFJ, which means she is a deep thinker and has a lot of depth to her characters. She is very intelligent and analytical, which is the reason she was able to make the very detailed characters in her novel. As I read through the book, I felt like I was reading her journal, and that in itself was very interesting. Here is an example of one of the characters: "I was very hesitant to share my feelings about my mother, as I always thought that if I did, it would somehow bring her back. But I decided that it would be better to be honest with myself and others." (Savage 162) This is what made the story so interesting and real to me. I could see through Cassie's eyes the struggle she had to overcome this huge secret she held inside.
My favorite part of the book was the ending. The chapters were written in chronological order and not in a linear fashion. When you finish the book you are left wondering what happens next. You are left wondering if Cassie will get to a point where she can love herself again and be forgiven. I really enjoyed the ending because it made me feel like I really got to know Cassie and her struggles for forgiveness.
