What is the personality type of Tullus Hostilius? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Tullus Hostilius from Historical Figures 1st Millenium Bce and what is the personality traits.
Tullus Hostilius personality type is ESTP, although I personally disagree.
Tullus is really an antihero, but with many positive qualities. He is charming, brave, and intelligent. His treacherous nature is tempered by his loyalty to Rome, his love of Rome, and his love of Rome's people. He loves Rome so much he will do almost anything to protect it. He is also cunning, wily, and brave, something that is very rare in Roman history. This is the main reason he was able to successfully overthrow Tarquinius Superbus
Tullus was actually a devoted father to his children, especially his sons. The only reason he was not with them for the birth of the twins was because the twins had been born during the Siege of Alba Longa , which was begun by Tarquinius Superbus, who had already murdered their mother. Tullus was able to escape with his life, but his wife was captured and died of her injuries shortly after he left. He had already sent their newborn sons to be raised by their grandmother until the end of the siege.
Tullus had two sons with his first wife, Sextia Tarquinia, who had died after giving birth to them.
Tullus Hostilius was the legendary third king of Rome. He succeeded Numa Pompilius and was succeeded by Ancus Marcius. Unlike his peaceful predecessor, Tullus was known as a warlike king who according to the Roman Historian Livy, believed the more peaceful nature of his predecessor had weakened Rome. It has been attested by Livy that he sought out war and was even more warlike than the first king of Rome, Romulus. Accounts of the death of Tullus vary. In the mythological version of events Livy describes, he had angered Jupiter who then killed him with a bolt of lightning. Non-mythological sources on the other hand deduce that he died of plague.
