The fact that I am a "helper" is easily explained. I was raised by an ISFJ mother who strongly wanted me to help others, and I very much wanted to please her. Thus, I have always tried to provide support for others, whether it be emotional support, practical support, or just being there for them. I know how important it is to take care of others, which hopefully is why I am here writing this article. However, because I have always put others first, I have never learned how to take care of myself.
I have learned to go along with the system.
