Jiří Kára (August 17, 1960 - December 29, 2014) was a Czech homeless man, an alcoholic and an Internet phenomenon. He became the target of many jokes and a legend of the Czech Internet. In his youth, he lived a messy life, taking drugs, drinking alcohol and listening to hard music. He was arrested several times and convicted of theft and violent crimes. In May around 1999, a recording of his wedding was made, which is considered very controversial, but after its expansion, it gained great popularity with many people. The wedding image was first released on YouTube, then taken over by other media. Jiří Kára died on December 29, 2014, and people light candles in his honor at his convenience store in Prague's Veletržní Street 1394/35 every year.
