Atom personality type is ISFP, and the only one that is consistent for all characters.
This theory is tested in Fallout 4, where we learn that the Sole Survivor is an Enabler – the only one of the five types that has a good reputation. In the same game, we also see a lot of characters who are more consistent with their type, no matter how crazy they are.
In this theory, the Enabler is the best option for those who want to make a choice about their character’s role in the Commonwealth.
Here’s a few examples:
The Sole Survivor begins as a Sentry Bot, a Stranger, a Raider, a Fighter, a Mechanist and a Gunner. They start as a Gunner, but they can’t be that. Even if they were a Gunner at some point, they were also a Sentry Bot, so they have to be a Stranger instead. The Sentry Bot is the most logical option for them since they have been consistently a Gunner since they joined the army. And this is consistent with their ISFP preference.
The Sole Survivor is also a Gunner, and not a Gunner at all.
