So I think the best way to describe my experience is less about facts and more about feelings. It was like I was living inside a dream, and once I woke up, the dream was over. When I got back to my apartment, my boyfriend was there, and he looked at me and said, “Don’t you remember? We were just here.” And we were — we’d just been taken to a place where we were doing things that we hadn’t even told our families about. And I thought: What if I’d died and gone to heaven?
Part of my experience was so intense that I can remember individual details now.
