In the film, a young woman named Morvern (played by Ewan McGregor) lives in a small Scottish town and decides to commit suicide. She keeps a journal in which she writes about her failed relationships and her harsh life.
While "Morvern Callar" can be seen as an artistic reflection of the ESTP's mind-set, the story also represents the dark side of this type. The ESTP's boldness and tendency to say what's on their mind can often make them seem quite selfish and self-centered — especially when they don't consider the other people involved.
