“My childhood was basically in and out of the foster care system,” Richardson said. “It was a very difficult childhood.”
Richardson’s mother eventually got out of prison and got her life together. She was able to get a job and start a family.
Richardson was just 4 years old when his mother and father got married and she gave birth to him in 1992 in Fort Worth, Texas.
“I grew up around hard-core criminals,” Richardson said. “I never knew what normal was until I got to college.”
Richardson attended Fort Worth Christian Academy, where he met his high school sweetheart, Maria. The two dated during their high school years and eventually got married in 1999.
