I guess it really depends on how you define “Enthusiasm” and what you consider a “deep” or “deeper” understanding of something. There are people that have a very broad understanding of a variety of subjects, but they do not seem to be interested in any of it. They put in the required time and effort to learn about a few things, but they do not seem to learn about any other subjects. I think it is probably better to look at the level of enthusiasm for a subject, rather than how broad a person’s knowledge may be.
I think she has a very high level of enthusiasm for the subject of NLP, which is probably why she is good at what she does. The same would be true of a computer programmer or a chef or a mechanic or a plumber or a farmer or a movie director.
You seem to have missed the point, I think. It is not that she has an enthusiasm for NLP that is greater than her enthusiasm for other things. It is that her interest in NLP is so strong that she wants to spend all her time doing it.
