I was beginning to take an interest in the direction of what I was calling the "Theory of Personality Types" which I have since decided to call the "Science of Personality Types". I had been working on the book for over a year, when I was approached by an ESFJ friend of mine, who had been looking for a mentor to work with on the book. I was so intrigued by this person, whom I had never met, that I agreed to work with her. While working on the book, I would meet with her almost daily. We would talk about our personalities, about our friends, about our families, about our careers, about our dreams. We became very close friends. She was supportive in every way imaginable. We talked about everything under the sun. She would give me feedback on the book, even though she couldn't read it yet, because she couldn't find any mistakes in it.
