Of all the Bigby's, Ned has the most difficult circumstance, as he has to deal with the loss of his daughter. His wife has a supportive personality, and she is very understanding about her husband's grief. She is the only character besides Bigby who actually wants her husband to forgive the Bat-Family.
Although he feels ambivalent about her, Bigby acknowledges that his wife's death is a part of why he wants to avenge the deaths of others. However, he does not want her to view him as a monster for this reason. As a result, Bigby sometimes has feelings of guilt whenever he punishes innocent people. He also seems to care for his wife more than any other character, as he is always trying his best to keep her safe from danger.
In the alternate timeline, she was killed by the Bat-Family. This made Bigby feel that his actions were meaningless and that there was no point in avenging her. However, the memory of his wife's courage and love for him led him to declare war on the Bat-Family.
