    The description of them is:

St. Bridget is one of the most down-to-earth saints known to modern man. Her life was devoted to the service of others and to uplifting those around her. She came from a wealthy family and has been called the “Great Comforter” and “Lady of Good Counsel” because of her ability to help people see their problems from a different point of view and find solutions. She stands as a model for how we can help others and heal ourselves.

St. Bridget was a great lover of children and of animals, as were both her father and mother. In her childhood, she was so devoted to her parents that she yearned to be as close as possible to them. Her father, who was a very wealthy nobleman, would often take her out on hunting trips. At those times, she was able to spend a great deal of time with her father and mother, and developed a deep love for them.

Saint Brigid of Kildare or Brigid of Ireland (451 – 525) is one of Ireland's patron saints, along with Patrick and Columba. Irish hagiography makes her an early Irish Christian nun, abbess, and foundress of several monasteries of nuns, including that of Kildare in Ireland, which was famous and was revered. Her feast day is 1 February, which was originally a pagan festival called Imbolc, marking the beginning of spring. Her feast day is shared by Dar Lugdach, who tradition says was her student, close companion, and the woman who succeeded her.
