Pig personality type is ISFP, but there is a very strong possibility that he is ISTP. John McCain is a very intelligent man, and with everything going on in his head at the time, he probably wouldn't have been able to fully understand what he was about to say. Although, I do believe that he would have understood it by the time he was done writing the letter. He would have been writing from a very emotional point of view, and reading it back to himself, he may not have been quite sure how he felt about what he said.
