How did you get interested in acting?
I am very lucky that my parents were both actors and that I had a great childhood. I did some theater and quite a bit of film and television, and then went to drama school in Moscow, and then to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.
What was your first role?
I got my first job when I was 15 years old. I was in a play called The Game of Love and Death on stage at the Moscow Art Theater. It was an adaptation of Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard.
