Sedgewick personality type is ISFP, and I would say that my husband is INTP. He’s very analytical and logical, and has a very hard time with emotional stuff. He is also very sensitive and emotional, and he just doesn’t know how to express feelings.
I know that when I’m in a really bad mood, he doesn’t like to see me and my mood is usually pretty bad (I grew up in a family of 12… we had a lot of people in our lives) and he’s always trying to make me feel better. He knows even if I don’t want to talk about it, he will still ask what is wrong. He’s very observant and has a hard time understanding that not everyone wants to talk about everything all the time.
He is also obsessed with perfection, and often times will not rest until he has done everything right. He thinks he’s a perfectionist, but he may just be a workaholic.
I am a very emotional person, but I am also rational and I have a hard time being irrational. My husband is also a very rational person, but he is also emotional.
