All in all, this is an excellent book for anybody interested in the topic of intelligence and how it is measured. I have frequently read about intelligence in non-fiction books, but have never seen it approached in the way that was done here. The author makes a very convincing case that intelligence is not a single factor or factor score but rather many many factors that are affected by genetics, parenting, culture, and so on.
I found it very interesting to read about the various factors that contribute to intelligence test scores. There are numerous human rights violations in this book that are disturbing. This book is not only about intelligence but also about the relationships between people and how they are influenced by their environment.
The author's view is that intelligence is not something that can be improved upon through education or parenting.
