The first thing that caught my attention was her first name. Harukawa means “spring” in Japanese, hence her name “Spring Chiaki”.
This was also the first time I noticed her last name. It was one of the few times where it was said out loud. It was “Iwata”. Most of the time, her last name was only ever talked about in comments like this:
Wow, Haruka’s last name is also “Iwata”! So this is what “Iwata” means in Japanese! (I know, I know, it’s not much, but I’m telling you, what it meant to me then.) It makes sense that her last name means “spring” too~! (It’s not like she changes her name to Haruka because of spring… well, maybe she does…)
