Josh personality type is ESFP, and I can’t help but wonder if some of the harshness she felt from Josh was a result of her tendency to want to fix people and make things better for them. They were married for 20 years and had two daughters, but Josh was an alcoholic who didn’t want to change. It’s a sad story.
To me, that says Josh is more of an ENTP character than he’d like to admit.
ENTPs can often feel like they’re not good enough to do something, so they do it half-assed. They may not be comfortable with the role of being a parent, so they try to avoid it. But they still want to be seen as a good person, and part of being a good person is taking care of your family. That’s just how they are as people.
And I think we can all agree that Josh was not a very good father. He was totally absent and never home. He was a total deadbeat dad who didn’t want to change or improve anything about his family life. So when it came to his daughters, he basically did nothing.
