Background
Strahd Von Zarovich was a member of the Valenhai family, a family of vampires, and a prince of the Blood Moon Clan. He was a man of many accomplishments, and was a well-known vampire hunter.
In 1486, Strahd helped destroy the Blood Moon Clan, and destroyed the last known vampire in the world.
In 1492, Strahd was called to help break a curse upon his friend, known as the King of the Mists. He was sent to the Mists, and succeeded in freeing the King from his curse, and bringing him back to Castle Ravenloft. He then traveled to Castle Ravenloft, and cast a spell which would keep the King safe until the curse was lifted.
In 1578, Strahd was sent to Castle Ravenloft by the King of the Mists. He was to free a princess from her curse. He returned to Castle Ravenloft in 1579.
