Sophie Hennes personality type is ESFP, or extroverted, sensing, feeling, and perceptive. That’s the same type as John Green. It’s also the type of personality that I am, so it’s fun to see myself in this book.
All the characters are so well-developed. The main character, Sophie, is so mature, so intelligent, so brave, so compassionate. She’s the kind of person you want to be around. She’s also extremely loyal, which is so rare in YA books. She’ll do anything for her friends, and she’ll go to the ends of the earth for them.
The book is split into two parts: present day (and past) and Australia. The present day is where Sophie is in college (and is also where most of the action happens). The Australia part is where Sophie is living with her dad, who is Australian. I love the Australia part of the book. It was so interesting to see what they did day-to-day in Australia. I can’t wait to see what happens when Sophie goes back to college!
