Personality Type: INFP
A personality type is a tool for predicting personality from certain characteristics. The idea that personality can be predicted from personality type is not entirely new. In the early 1900s, a psychologist named Gordon Allport tried to link personality type to personality traits, by asking people to describe themselves and then categorizing them into four types: introvert, extrovert, intuitive, and sensing.
In the 1990s, Isabel Myers and Raymond Cattell created the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) test. The MBTI takes the four categories of the original Allport model and adds two additional ones.
