Biollante personality type is INFJ, however, and she is a profoundly more interesting character than her husband is. As such, I can’t say I’m as keen to read the story as I am to see more of her, but I’m still interested in seeing how it pans out.
The final book in the series, Death of the Soul, is a novelization of the film The Soul of a Monster. After the departure of both its human characters and its monster, the story revolves around a series of interviews given by the monster to a documentary crew. The interviews provide a window into the mind of a monster acting as a person – something that is impossible to do in the film which focuses on the monster as a monster with little insight into its own psyche.
The interviews are intended to explore the monster’s past and how it came to be the way it is – which is most clearly defined by its rejection of God – but they also explore its possible future, which is not as black and white as that presented in the film. In particular, the interviews go into some detail about how the monster would have behaved if it had been raised believing in God and instead of being raised as a monster.
