Bone Demon Personality Type, MBTI

Bone Demon personality type is INFJ, which is what I am. But I think that the MBTI is not a very accurate predictor of personality type. As an INFJ myself, I'm not sure what it is about the Myers Briggs that makes it so popular. Unlike most personality tests, which give a few general descriptions of personality type and then give you a list of examples, the Myers Briggs gives you a whole picture of the different functions in the brain. That is, you get a big picture of how your personality types are made up of certain functions in your brain and how those functions are arranged. This has a lot of dimensions to it, so it's very difficult to really grasp what's going on. But it looks like it's a lot more detailed than the other personality tests out there. The MBTI just gives you lists. It doesn't seem to use any of the functions in the brain. So I don't think that the Myers Briggs is very useful for understanding personality type. If you already know what type you are, then it might be helpful, but if not, then I wouldn't waste my time on it. -- Tabbi 04:09, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
