I’m often asked how I know when to go in for the kill in a crisis scene. I usually say, “If I’m not doing anything else, I’m thinking. So I’m in.” It’s not because I’m sitting there in my office with my coat on, putting the pieces together in my head. I won’t do that when I’ve got all the information I need. I process it in my mind, and when the big picture emerges in my head, the decision-making is completely automatic.
The ISTP type has a problem with time management. If you ask an ISTP to take on a project, he or she will say, “Yes, but it can wait.” Once you’ve identified ISTP, you know that you’re dealing with someone whose life revolves around “now.” This is not necessarily a bad thing. ISTPs are great at spontaneous comebacks.
