The actor is the “artistic” of the group. The only thing that we actors do is to “act” in front of the camera. The actor is not a self-starter, but an expert at taking direction from others. The actor does not make decisions. He or she only executes other people’s ideas and directions.
As a children’s show, our job is to entertain, not to teach. We can only do so much with our limited material. We use the same material over and over again. For example, we have a character called “the funny one.” The funny one is always the one who says funny things (like, “I feel like a bowl of Fruit Loops”). He or she is the one who makes us laugh.
