Tony Clifton (born ???) is an American performer, comedian, and avid lounge lizard. Clifton rose to fame in the 1970s, mostly due to the support of comedian Andy Kaufman. He was discovered by Kaufman in the International Hotel in Las Vegas in 1969, allegedly "waiting for Elvis to show up". Since Kaufman's death, Clifton has still made infrequent appearances at various comedy clubs in the Vegas area.
